CAER Community Awareness Notification – Unplanned Release

Incident Details: This is a test from Ron. The Suncor Sarnia refinery is safely shutting down a process unit. During this time, you may notice periods of increased flaring as well as a possible increase in noise levels. (If appropriate: In addition, there may be periods where increased odour levels may be present. These odours should only last for a brief period of time.) As always, we will make every effort to minimize the need for flaring. This activity has been communicated to the Spills Action Centre and CVECO.
